– Catalog number: UR48153
– Application: Brake caliper adapters dedicated to Hyundai I30N/Kona N.
– Fitting side: Front axle
– Construction: Duralumin/magnesium aluminum (strength comparable to steel)
– Finish: Adapters are anodized for anti-corrosion protection
– Net weight: 456 g/pc.
– Kit composition: The kit consists of brake caliper adapters and mounting screws
The difference in unsprung weight between the factory solution (brake disc, caliper and brake pads = 40kg) and the proposed solution (brake disc, caliper and brake pads, adapters = 26kg) gives a saving of 14kg of unsprung weight on the front axle!!!
For correct installation, the brake discs require the centering hole to be enlarged to 69mm.

To fully utilize the upgraded brake calipers, it's also worth taking care of the brake hoses and replacing them with steel braided hoses. Brembo 4-piston calipers have a standard M10x1 connection thread. When replacing the brake hoses, a banjo-style caliper connection (eyelet for a through bolt) is recommended. If you're upgrading to a larger brake disc diameter, it's worth ordering longer brake hoses. Their length should be proportional to the difference in the brake disc radius. For example, if the old brake disc is 300mm in diameter, its radius is 150mm. The new brake disc is 330mm in diameter, its radius is 165mm. This results in a 15mm difference in the brake disc radius. The new brake hoses should be this minimum length.
The adapters are made of high-quality aluminum, which gives them low weight (including low unsprung mass) combined with high mechanical strength.
The 355x28mm disc (Renault Megane RS) combined with the Brembo 4-piston caliper allows for high and repeatable braking force.
Depending on the rim model, it may be necessary to use spacer rings, depending on the ET parameter of the rim.
